Every woman
deserves to find
women in the same
season of life
We were never meant to walk this road alone
We are ANTI quite a few things around here…
We are ANTI quite a few things around here…
Anti labels
Married, single, child-free, still deciding… leave your labels at the door if you wish!
We don't sort women into boxes by relationship status, job title, or whether she's ticked the boxes she was told to tick by a certain age (like, for real, don’t even get us started!!)
Anti performers
if you want to take part, take part! If you’re feeling particularly introverted that day and would rather sit and observe instead, you are more than welcome to. This is your safe space to come exactly as you are (I know, I know, we said that already, but it’s super important!)
Anti adding another swiping app
We aren’t swiping right or left BS here. You’ll make intentional connections with women inside who have shared interests, proximity, hold up the same values and location.
Anti fixing women
…because there was never anything wrong with you in the first place. We won’t tell you to start a new 5am routine, journal or to change your mindset. Come in exactly as you are.
If any of these play back in your head the IWR app was made exactly for you
You sit in your car unable to move. You don’t want to go back inside the hour. Or to work. Or the party. You are living inside of a life that no longer feels like yours.
Being in a room full of people or sleeping next to someone you love can feel lonely sometimes if you don’t feel seen, heard, supported or understood.
No one has you. Not family. Not old friends. Not colleagues. Feeling like everywhere you have tried to turn has been met with rejection.
Searching for more likeminded women feels impossible. Like everyone else has BFFs and you don’t. You question wtf is wrong with me?
Feeling like you are holding so much you aren’t OK at all. Known for being the “strong one”. But what’s the alternative? Coping isn’t a badge of honour; strong women break too.
The breakup? Heartache, grief, hormones, cycles, feminine rage…. Laugher, love, celebrations and everything inbetween.
We’re here to help you step into your Unedited Self.
If you’re tired of putting so much energy into fitting in with other people’s stories and living a character that wasn’t made for you, welcome to Inner Woman Rising.
You know that you’re a whole main character and (even if it’s deep down) that you’re deserving of the type of friendship you grew up watching on TV shows and 90s movies.

Inner Woman Rising exists because I never really felt like I fitted in anywhere, ever really.
I am the youngest of four, creative, ADHD, perimenopausal, ambitious, bit of a lone wolf and for the last 9 years I've been gradually breaking out of my edited season of life.
I was always too chatty, too loud, too quiet, too nice… too something. Never quite right, whichever version I tried on. Junior school is the last time I properly remember being completely unedited, and it was one of my happiest times. I never really knew what I wanted to do "when I grew up," which meant careers and jobs I wasn't really interested in. I found it hard to keep friends because I always felt different the music I listened to, even the clothes I wore. I ended up living with constant masking and raging imposter syndrome, which was really just a symptom of the fact that these traditional, social norms were never meant to be part of my story.
I created a character to survive, and always felt like I was performing. I swear I should have been on stage.
I grew up in a house of dualities too: a dad who gave less f*cks than anyone I've met, and a mum who'd had the full good-girl conditioning so many of us women get stamped with at birth. I got a bit of both, and it's taken me 41 years and a thousand versions of myself to work out which one was actually me? The version that feels authentic, good, and doesn’t leave me recharging alone for the next 3 days.
At 32, I sold my flat, moved back in with my parents, and went travelling. I called it my "sod it, say yes to life," years. You name it I jumped out of, or off, of it. I am a woman who has taken an untraditional path and is writing her own story (and re-writing it when the MF plot twists come my way). I've lived on boats, had more careers than I care to count. I tried following the social norms and ended up here: building this corner of the internet with you.
These last few years have been challenging, IWR has been my north star through all of it. This is the space I dreamed of having, to find my people
My mission now is to help women step fully into their unedited selves, finding belonging for the first time in years, and building genuine connections and friendships with women who see them, hear them, and support them without asking them to become someone else or shrink themselves first.
Come inside, we are waiting for you.
